Single Girder EOT Cranes
Herc Single Girder EOT Cranes are manufactured as per IS 3177.
IS 3177, the Indian Standard for Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) Cranes, covers single girder EOT cranes. These cranes are characterized by a single girder that runs along overhead rails, supporting a bridge structure that houses a electric wire rope hoist manufactured as per IS 3938.
Key Features of Single Girder EOT Cranes as per IS 3177:
- Load Capacity: The standard specifies the maximum load capacity for single girder EOT cranes based on their design and structural integrity.
- Span: The distance between the end trucks / end carriages of the crane, which determines the maximum span that can be covered. Herc can manufacture these cranes upto a span of 40 Meters.
- Lift Height: The maximum height to which the hoist can lift a load is 50 meters.
- Travel Speed: The maximum speed at which the crane can travel along the rails.
- Hoist Speed: The maximum speed at which the hoist can raise or lower a load.
- Control System: The standard specifies requirements for the control system, including emergency stops, overload protection, and radio remote control options.
- Safety Features: Single girder EOT cranes must be equipped with safety features such as limit switches, anti-collision devices, rope guide rings and emergency braking systems.
- Inspection and Testing: Regular inspections and tests are required to ensure the crane’s continued safe operation.
